Our History

Hi, I’m Cris—the founder of Red Velvet DJ, established in 2014! My journey in music started at age 11 (back in 1996), and in my early 20s, I transitioned to DJing at clubs and lounges across Chicagoland, where I lived until 2019. Some of the venues I performed at include Dragonfly, Bella Lounge, Republic, Wet, Waterhouse, and Rebel in Wrigleyville. Since 2011, I’ve primarily focused on weddings, bringing my versatile open-format mixing style to seamlessly blend all genres.
Currently, I’m loving life in Temecula with my wife, two kids, and two dogs. When I’m not DJing, you’ll find me enjoying football and basketball (Bears & Bulls fan for life!), sipping wine, taking long walks, and—oddly enough—vacuuming around the house.
